Students of all kinds are facing challenges that previous classes haven’t faced, which is why showcasing the successes of students today is a nice reminder of all the good things that our local students are up to.
On that note, six Eau Claire Area School District seniors were notified recently that they have qualified as semifinalists for National Merit Scholarships.
These students took the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship
Qualifying Test last fall and represent the highest scoring entrants in
Wisconsin out of 16,000 total semifinalists in the country.
Students will learn in February of 2021 if they have advanced to finalist
standing and will be notified beginning in March of 2021 if they have won
a National Merit Scholarship, a corporate-sponsored scholarship or a
college-sponsored scholarship.
