More Wisconsinites are going back to work.
Unemployment numbers this morning from the U.S. Department of Labor show Wisconsin filed around 13-thousand-900 initial claims the week ending August 22nd. That’s nearly one-thousand less than the previous week. Claims are still up in the state from last year.
880,000 Americans filed new claims for state unemployment last week progressing from the early weeks of the coronavirus pandemic when six-million-people were unemployed.
