Labor Day is the traditional end of the summer, and the last day that a lot of people in Wisconsin head-out on the lake.
The Department of Natural Resources is telling people to do it safely. DNR is issuing its annual Labor Day boating safety reminder. The advice is to have life jackets, slow down, do not drink and boat, and watch for other people in the water. DNR says 19 people have died in boating accidents in Wisconsin this summer, most of those people drowned while not wearing a life jacket.
