CVTC Grant Aims to Support Students

Chippewa Valley Technical College students at risk of dropping out are getting some extra support thanks to a grant from the U.S. Department of Education.

The one-point-three-million-dollar grant will be used to provide advising services to students more likely to drop out. The federal government has offered funding for programs in career and technical education for high-needs students before. The department defines these students as those living in poverty, who attend high-minority schools, who have disabilities, or who are first generation students.
