While the lawsuit from the Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty focuses on the state’s mask requirement, the group says the case has little to do with wearing a mask.
WILL yesterday filed a lawsuit asking that a court strike down the governor’s latest emergency order that requires people to wear masks. WILL’s Rick Esenberg says the lawsuit is more about limiting the governor’s broad use of his emergency powers. Specifically, Esenberg says the governor cannot issue two orders for the same emergency without including the state legislature.
