A new program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is covering tuition for students in the School of Education if they teach in Wisconsin for the first few years after graduation.
If you were flipping through the paper, you may have red in The Chippewa Herald about the program. It aims to address problems that contribute to Wisconsin’s teacher shortage. The school says the ‘Teacher Pledge’ forgives some or all of students’ loans after they teach in a Wisconsin school for four years.
