Eau Claire County is taking the next step in its investigation into missing money at the county’s Department of Human Services.
The county board last night approved a forensic audit that will look into at least a million-and-a-half dollars in accounting errors. The county says DHS has been over seven-and-a-half million-dollars over-budget for the past three years.
