The number of coronavirus deaths in Wisconsin has crossed a symbolic threshold. The state’s Department of Health Services yesterday reported eight new deaths, which pushes the state to over one thousand coronavirus deaths since March.
Wisconsin has never seen a huge spike in deaths, instead the state’s coronavirus deaths have been steady. DHS yesterday reported fewer people in the hospital, 364 compared to Monday’s 414. DHS also reported 724 new positive tests and over 12 thousand new negative tests.
If you were at the bars or the car show in Bloomer last week, you may want to get tested for the coronavirus. Public health officials in Chippewa Falls yesterday said they’ve traced a possible coronavirus case back to the Badger Hole bar, the Happy Hour bar, Junior’s Bar, and The View on Lake Wissota. The health department says people at the car show in Bloomer at the fairgrounds may also have been exposed.
