WI Coronavirus Testing Passes 1-Million

Wisconsin’s coronavirus testing has now stretched into seven-figures.

The state’s Department of Health Services yesterday said Wisconsin has now tested more than one million people for the virus. Of them, over 94 percent have tested negative. Since March less than 57 thousand people have tested positive, and over 80 percent of them have fully recovered. DHS yesterday said 330 people are in the hospital with the virus, 119 of them are in the ICU.

Here, local authorities remind you that you shouldn’t call the police about someone not wearing a mask, and in most cases you shouldn’t call anyone. Eau Claire Police yesterday said the city-county health department is in charge of mask enforcement, so please don’t call 911.

Officer Josh Miller then said you really should only call the health department if there is a chance for transmission of the coronavirus, like if a restaurant worker wasn’t wearing a mask. Even then, Miller said it’s best to keep your distance and give people the benefit of the doubt.
