A lot of local election managers in Wisconsin need some help for next week’s election.
The Wisconsin Election Commission yesterday said local clerks need more than 900 people to volunteer at the polls. The shortage is being caused by the coronavirus. The WEC’s Meagan Wolfe says many poll workers are older and most at-risk for the coronavirus. The Wisconsin National Guard helped cover the polls back in April when there was a similar shortage. But Wolfe says the Guard may not be available next week.
