Wisconsin has had lottery games since 1988 and has generated over 15-billion-dollars in revenue in that time. The law requires at least 50-percent of total revenue go to winners. Last year, about 57-percent of revenue was dedicated to prize winnings. Thirty-percent of revenue goes to fund property tax credits.
