The new head of the University of Wisconsin System says he needs more than 100 million-dollars to get face masks and coronavirus tests for students this fall.
UW System President Tommy Thompson yesterday asked Governor Evers for 110 million-dollars for the next school year. That’s on top of the 100 million that the university already got in coronavirus stimulus money. Thompson says the school needs the cash to pay for testing and PPE. Thompson says students will be required to wear masks when they return to campus this fall.
