Wisconsin’s economic development office says some jobs will not come back when the state fully reopens.
The WEDC on Tuesday sent its report on the economic impact of the coronavirus to lawmakers. In addition to noting which businesses have been hardest hit in Wisconsin, namely tourism and the service sector, the report says many jobs are gone for good. There is no number, but WEDC says many restaurant and retail jobs are likely not to return. The report says those workers will need to be retrained.
