MILWAUKEE SEES CONTINUED OVERNIGHT RIOTS

It was an active overnight in our bigger cities, but not as voilent as other nights.

Milwaukee Police say the latest night of rioting in the city saw rocks, bottles, and a Molotov cocktail thrown at officers. Police say the Molotov cocktail did not light, and no one was hurt. MPD says officers arrested one person in last night’s crowd because they had a gun. There was no curfew in Milwaukee, but officers ordered people off the streets after they declared the angry crowd to be unlawfully assembled.

Meanwhile, Milwaukee’s mayor says people in the city are ‘rightfully upset.’ Mayor Tom Barrett made the comments as he walked with a group of protesters yesterday afternoon. The crowd was one of the largest Milwaukee has seen since people started taking to the streets after George Floyd’s death.
