The coronavirus has punched a nearly two billion-dollar hole in Wisconsin’s tourism industry.
Tourism Secretary Sara Meaney was on UPFRONT on Milwaukee TV on Sunday. She said the state has lost one-point-seven billion-dollars in tourism money because of the virus. She says those losses will continue. Meaney says Wisconsin is not advertising for visitors to come to the state this summer. She hopes that by fall and winter, things will start to rebound.
