THE WEEKEND IS HERE: FLAGS LOWERED, GAS HIGHER, HARLEY BACK

Welcome to your weekend. You might notice flags flying lower this weekend.

If you filled the tank, then you know gas has been climbing steady for awhile, but overall gas prices this Memorial Day weekend are the lowest since 2003.

While prices are starting to creep back up at the pump, AAA reports the average gallon of unleaded regular is a 1.87.  It’s the first time the average has been below two-dollars for the holiday in 17 years. Here around our area it’s hanging out at about 1.88.

If you were filling your cycle up, then this news might “rev” you up.  It’s back to work at Harley-Davidson.

The company yesterday said 125 workers are already back at the plant in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin.  The plan is to bring the rest back after Memorial day.

Nearly a thousand people work at the plant in the Falls. Harley-Davidson has been shut down since mid-March because of the coronavirus.

And although this Memorial Day likely won’t be spent doing the same things in the same way as years past, wishing you a safe weekend.
