Memorial Day weekend usually means more drivers on the road, but it also means more deer.
The Wisconsin Highway Patrol says this is the time of year when does look to find a place to have their babies. That means more deer will be out on the roads at dusk and dawn. Troopers say be aware, slow down, and honk at deer if you see them. If you can’t avoid a collision, troopers say hit the deer rather than swerve into a ditch or tree.
