Two Deputies were injured over the weekend in Barron County.
It was on just after 12:30 on Sunday morning when Deputies from the Barron County Sheriff’s Department arrived and during the course of the
investigation went to 53 year old take Joe Brown, of Barron, into custody. Brown resisted arrest and during the struggle injured two Barron County Deputies. Both deputies were treated to Mayo Hospital for hand injuries. One deputy is back to work and one deputy will require surgery and be out for 8-12 weeks.
Brown is being held in the Barron County Jail on charges of Bail Jumping, Disorderly Conduct, Resisting Arrest and Battery to a Law Enforcement Officer. Formal charges are pending by the Barron County District Attorney’s Office.
