An Eau Claire man is appearing in court after he tried to buy thousands-of-dollars in gold and silver with a bad check.
A criminal complaint yesterday says 59-year-old Charles Christensen ordered nearly 40-thousand-dollars-worth of gold and silver from a coin company in Oklahoma. The company says Christensen mailed a check, but it bounced days later. The company says they notified the Eau Claire County Sheriff’s Office after several attempts to collect the money.
Christensen is scheduled to appear in court July 15th.
