A Webster woman is charged with first-degree homicide and more after police say a man was found at a Sand Lake residence with head trauma.
Court records show Tara Appleton virtually appeared in Burnett County court yesterday for events that happened March 30th. A criminal complaint says police found Preston Decorah lying on a driveway with head trauma. Appleton told police the man climbed on top of her moving truck then fell on the ground and would not get up, and sheriff’s deputies said Decorah was pronounced dead the next day.
Appleton is charged with first-and-second-degree reckless homicide, homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle and death by hit and run.
