The Eau Claire Board of Canvassers are meeting this morning to count thousands of remaining absentee ballots from the Wisconsin Primary Election.
Wisconsin senators Ron Johnson and Tammy Baldwin called on the United States Postal Service Friday to investigate what happened to thousands of absentee ballots that are yet to be counted. Officials with the Wisconsin Elections Commission said they sent out nearly one-point-three million absentee ballots statewide and as of Friday more than 200-thousand have yet to be returned.
Officials say they’re encouraging clerks to report issues like unreturned ballots and postmarking, and send the commission examples for review.
