GOV. EVERS ORDERS EVICTION AND FORECLOSURE SUSPENSION

There is a temporary order to suspend evictions and foreclosures in the state.

Governor Evers ordered the move today in light of the public health emergency caused by the coronavirus.  The order does not relieve a person of their responsibility to pay rent or mortgage.  But it does prohibit landlords from evicting tenants and postpones civil action to foreclose on real estate for 60 days.
