While we may not feel like we can fly “free as a bird” right now with the mandatory closures and social distancing, we can WATCH them for free! How about a little break from all of the heavy news this week?
The National Eagle Center in Wabasha remains committed to continuing its mission of inspiring the world with eagles even during its mandated closure due to COVID-19. The Center is now offering new digital educational and inspiring eagle experiences that will be entertaining to individuals of all ages from anywhere.
The Center will share its live eagle ambassadors through “Adventures in Eagle Territory” live stream and recorded programming posted daily to their Facebook Page at 1pm.
This will include virtual exhibit tours, behind-the-scenes avian care and naturalist sessions on the shore of the Mississippi River with live eagle ambassadors, including Latsch, the Center’s newest juvenile bald eagle.
For those looking to get out of the house, wild eagle viewing is at its peak in the Mississippi River Valley and large numbers of eagles can be seen from a drive on the Great River Road.
The Center’s downloadable eagle viewing guides are available on their website and their Eagle Watch live streaming webcam is hosted on their website WHICH IS AN EASY CLICK RIGHT HERE.
