SUSPECTS STILL AT LARGE

We now know a little bit more about the deadly shooting in Eau Claire on Friday night, but Police continue to look for the suspects.

It was just after 8:30 On March 20th when the Eau Claire Communications Center received multiple 911 calls regarding gunshots in the 4600 block of Kappus Drive.

It was reported a female was screaming for help. Officers responded to this location and located two victims who had sustained injuries from a gunshot.

Officers provided immediate medical attention to the victims. One of the victims was transported to a local medical facility. The other victim, a 30 year-old male, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The initial investigation determined two suspects forcefully entered the residence and a confrontation occurred between the suspects and the two adult occupants of the residence. During the confrontation a firearm was discharged several times striking the two victims. The suspects fled the area and have not been located.
