WI COVID-19 CLIFF NOTES: NEW CASES, SMALL BUSINESS RELIEF, WEBSITE

Health officials in Brown County say the county has its first confirmed case of coronavirus.  Brown County Health and Human Services says today the patient had traveled domestically and developed symptoms.  They are in self-quarantine and will be monitored for fever and any respiratory issu

Governor Tony Evers is requesting federal help for small businesses to relieve some of the financial burden brought on by the coronavirus crisis.  The governor submitted a request today for economic injury disaster loan assistance from the Small Business Administration. 

Evers also wants to waive the one-week waiting period for people collecting unemployment benefits. 

There is a new website available for Wisconsin residents with all coronavirus-related government topics.  Governor Evers says people will be able to find information from multiple government agencies and sign-up for alerts.
