The families of the fallen Girl Scouts from Lake Hallie don’t think 54 years in prison is enough time for killing three young girls.
The families of nine-year-old Jayna Kelley, ten-year-old Autumn Helgeson, and ten-year-old Haylee Hickle wanted Colten Treu to never leave prison again.
Treu is 23-years-old, meaning he will be 77 when he could leave prison. Jayna’s Kelley father, Brian said that’s still too light of a sentence.
Treu had faced the rest of his life behind bars for running down the girls while high back in 2018.
