WAUSAU WOMAN AWAITING SENTENCE AFTER EMPLOYER THEFT

A Wausau woman will have to wait until May to know how long a prison term she will serve.

Kristin Lapree pleaded guilty today to a number of charges including identity theft for financial gain, forgery and embezzling almost 500-thousand-dollars from her job as business manager at Rettler Corporation in Stevens Point.  She forged checks in the owner’s name between 2012 and 2018 when she was finally fired.
