The Eau Claire Area School District’s Demographic Trends and Facility
Planning Committee will discuss options to relieve enrollment and capacity concerns at three elementary schools at its February 13 meeting.
Currently, Meadowview and Putnam Heights Elementary Schools are at more than 90 percent capacity, while Manz Elementary School is near that mark. Projections indicate enrollment is likely to continue to grow in these three schools in the years to come.
To date, the Board of Education has considered three possible referendum timelines: November 2020, April 2021 and November 2021. The board’s Budget Development Committee has also discussed this issue, finding April 2021 to be the best potential option of the three.
