The suspensions for the top two people on the Democratic National Convention’s Host Committee didn’t last long.
The committee’s board yesterday fired president Liz Gilbert and chief of staff Adam Alonso. The decision came one day after complaints about a toxic work environment went public.
The Host Committee board said Gilbert and Alonso “did not meet the ideals and expectations” of DNC planners. Former committee workers complained of bullying and in-fighting.
