A state representative is proposing a bill designed to fight racial profiling. Sheila Stubbs, a Democrat from Madison says she was racially profiled while campaigning in 2018.
She says police were called to a mostly white neighborhood in Madison where Stubbs was campaigning and she was stopped and questioned extensively. She says calling the police as a way to have harassed someone or have them removed from an area they are legally occupying is a violation of constitutional rights.
