MAN MOVING AHEAD WITH MENTAL HEALTH DEFENSE

The man shot by a deputy inside a Chippewa Falls motel last summer is moving ahead with a mental health defense.

Christopher Knyphausen this week entered a not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect plea. He’s accused of threatening to shoot people at the Indianhead Motel back in August. There’s no word when Knyphausen is due back in court or due to be examined by doctors.
