A famous Mustang Bullitt GT has been sold to a mystery buyer for millions.
Sean Kiernan put the 1968 vehicle that was driven by Steve McQueen in the movie Bullitt on the auction block in Florida on Sunday. The car sat in Kiernan’s family’s garage for 40 years and then spent two years touring the world.
The pony car sold at auction to an anonymous bidder for three-point-four-million-dollars. Kiernan said that once the bidding started “it was like an eleven-minute-rock concert.” The bidding actually started at just 35-hundred-dollars because, Kiernan says, that’s what his dad paid for it in 1974
