SNOWMOBILES FALL THROUGH ICE IN ONEIDA CO.

UPDATE: Authorities in Oneida County identify the two men killed when their snowmobiles hit thin ice on a lake.  The victims are identified today as David Erdman of Hubertus and Kurtis Shernell of Hustisford.  A third man was made able to make it out of the water and call for help.  The crash happened early yesterday morning and remains under investigation.

Two snowmobilers are dead from falling through ice in northern Wisconsin. 

The Oneida County Sheriff’s Department says three riders fell into the water at Lake Nokomis early Sunday morning but one was able to get out and call 9-1-1.  The sheriff’s department says they weren’t on a designated snowmobile trail.
