A man who received a 75-year prison sentence for killing three people during an intoxicated-driving incident near Menomonie is set to return to court next month.
You may have seen reports in The Leader-Telegram that Sergei Kundilovski will be in Dunn County Court to ask a judge to withdraw his guilty plea to three counts of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle.
Police say Kundilovski drove the wrong way on I-94 in July of 2017 and hit another vehicle head-on. Kundilovsky, who speaks fluent Russian but broken English, argued in a motion filed in September that he should be able to withdraw the plea because he didn’t fully understand what would happen by accepting the agreement.
