SIT, STAY….

Folks who go to the animal shelter in Chippewa County are going to have to wait to meet their new dog.

Shelter managers say they’re changing the way adoptions work. The Chippewa County Humane Association’s Stacy Wiemer says as opposed letting people walk through the kennel, there will now be an interview and shelter workers will allow people to meet dogs one-on-one. Wiemer said the old way of walking around got the dogs too excited, and that hurt some possible adoptions.
