Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul says he doesn’t want to ever see more DNA kits languish in police departments across the state.
Kaul yesterday asked lawmakers to pass a law that requires police departments to test kits within two weeks of collection. The A-G’s office just finished testing thousands of old DNA kits that were ignored for years. Kaul says there is plenty of support for the law. He wants a public hearing as soon as possible.
