WATER TESTING SUGGESTED IN RIDGELAND

The drinking water in Ridgeland is safe. But Dunn County health managers are suggesting that people test their water anyway.

The move comes after tests showed higher than allowed levels of uranium at a public well last month. Uranium is naturally occurring, and Dunn County Health Department Director KT Gallagher says there’s nothing to suggest that there is anything unsafe about the water in the county. Still, she said last night, it’s better to be safe than sorry.
