Fill the tumblers with hot chocolate and great ready to hand out candy canes…it’s one of the signs of the season, the Irvine Park Christmas Village is open.
Folks in Chippewa Falls can see the lights from now through New Years Day. Organizers say they have 60-thousand lights on display this year.
And as we near the season where the little ears listen close for hoofs on the roof organizers of the annual “Christmas is for Children” are seeking additional sponsors.
Every year, families in need provide a gift list of what their kids would really like for Christmas, and sponsors in the area buy a child a gift valued up to 35-dollars. They say there are still 300 children without a sponsor this year as they’ve had the second highest enrollment number ever, with just under one-thousand-fifty kids signed up for the program.
The deadline to drop of gifts is next Friday, December 6th. They say monetary donations are also accepted.
