ASSEMBLY OBJECTS TO OWI CHANGES

Drunk drivers in Wisconsin could be catching another break.

Democrats in the state Assembly yesterday objected to a plan that would add mandatory minimum sentences for people who kill someone in an OWI wreck, and for people convicted of their fifth or sixth drunk driving case. The Wisconsin Senate approved the idea without problems last week.
