Prosecutors in Eau Claire say a man wrote nearly 90-thousand-dollars in checks he knew he couldn’t cover.

The D.A. yesterday filed felony charges against 37-year-old Ryan Sturz. He told police someone who worked for his lawn care company stole the checks. Prosecutors say he wrote 87-thousand-dollars’ worth of bad checks to pay for a new lawn mower and a Ford Mustang, among many other things.
