Governor Tony Evers is calling out Republican leaders for their refusal to take up gun reform.
Evers called a special legislative session for today asking for action on gun reform, but the GOP leadership has made it clear it isn’t taking up the issue despite the two proposals being supported by 80-percent of Wisconsinites. The proposals require universal background checks for all firearm purchases. It would also establish an Extreme Risk Protection order to enable family members or police to temporarily remove firearms from an individual found to be a danger to themselves or others.
