A man convicted of sexually assaulting a teenage girl in Chippewa County in 1993 is being released from prison.
David Hager was sentenced to 12 years in prison in 1995 and deemed a sexually violent person in 2008. Hager’s petition to be released was denied in 2014 but a judge recently approved a supervised release plan. Reports say health experts have found he’s not likely to re-offend.
