LOCAL SCHOOL SEES WHOOPING COUGH OUTBREAK

Public health managers in Dunn County are working to contain a whooping cough outbreak at the elementary school in Elk Mound.

At least two cases have been confirmed. The Dunn County Health Department yesterday said they are working with school leaders and parents. Whooping cough is very contagious, but can be difficult to diagnose because the symptoms are often close to the symptoms of a common cold.
