The Air Force is not going to give local leaders in Madison a noise test.
The Air Force last week denied a request from Madison Congressman Mark Pocan to fly an F-35 jet at Truax Field so that local leaders can hear how loud the jet is. Many locals say the new jets, which may be stationed in Madison, are too loud. The Air Force says one flight, on one day wouldn’t provide any scientific value to the conversation about the jets.
