Wisconsin’s Republican U.S. Senator says he’s more bothered by the leaks surrounding President Trump’s call to Ukraine’s president than anything that the President actually said. Senator Ron Johnson yesterday said he didn’t see anything in the call that is worthy of impeachment. Johnson did say that he’s bothered that the whistleblower complaint about the phone call was leaked to the media. Johnson says that may make it tougher for the President to talk candidly with other world leaders in the future.
Wisconsin’s Democratic lawmakers are using their weekly radio address to talk about red flag laws. Madison state Rep. Melissa Sargent delivered the message this week, she says the governor’s newly proposed extreme risk protection order will make Wisconsin safer. She says the idea is to get guns out of the hands of people who may be dangerous. Republican lawmakers say the proposal will take guns away from people who haven’t committed a crime
