Some neighbors in Eau Claire are trying to stop the state from buying a home and turning it into a rehab center for sex offenders.
Robert Simet says police knocked on his door last week to talk to him about the potential sale. Simet says he’s worried about who may end-up in the home at the corner of North Lane and Jupiter Avenue. Four hundred people have signed a petition to keep sex offenders out of the home. Simet says they plan to deliver that petition to county leaders this week.
