Wisconsin will not be one of the states getting some of the 12-billion-dollars that the maker of OxyContin is offering.
Attorney General Josh Kaul yesterday rejected the settlement offer from Purdue Pharma. At least twenty other states are accepting the offer. Kaul said he wants justice, and doesn’t think the settlement offer will bring that. The rejected settlement is part of the on-going battle between Kaul and lawmakers over a new law that requires him to get permission before settling lawsuits.
