A Minnesota man is accused of kidnapping a woman and bringing her to Jackson County.
A criminal complaint claims Dwayne Doxen picked up the woman at a homeless shelter in Minneapolis last month and promised her work. She says she pled with Doxen to take her back to the shelter but he insisted on taking he to Atlanta or Miami because she wanted to be an actress. Doxen was arrested after the woman got him to pull over at a gas station and she asked for help. He’s charged with kidnapping and false imprisonment and faces 50 years in prison.
