A former Onalaska farmer is going to prison for one year in connection with a fraud case.
Henry Berg was accused of fraudulently obtaining a 650-thousand dollar loan and then defaulting on it back in 2015. Berg claimed he got the loan for his farm but he reportedly subleased the land to a relative, didn’t repay the loan, and sold the collateral and kept the proceeds. He received his sentence yesterday and will report to prison on October 4th.
