The man who once handled the finances for Eau Claire’s firefighter union is looking at prison time for stealing from the union.
William Drath agreed to a plea deal on Wednesday that could send him to prison for 12 years for stealing 18-thousand-dollars from the city’s firefighter union. Drath was union treasurer from 2006 til 2016, and prosecutors say he stole the money over a six-year span. Drath will be sentenced in November.
